2nd ANNUAL ALLWYNN LONG RIDE FOR HOSPICE

Planning is well underway for this years event which is going to be held at the Rockin' River Resort in Salmon Valley, just 10 minutes from Prince George. 

The event is shaping up to be much BIGGER and better than the 1st year and we are looking forward to welcoming riders from all over. 

August 14-15, 2010 the Hospice Ride will include Bike Rodeo, Poker Run, live music featuring Rick Stavely & Western Front, Pig Roast & BBQ, Beer Gardens and a Sunday morning Pancake Breakfast.  This will be an overnight event and camping is included in your registration fee.

Beautiful location, great music, wonderful people, fantastic food and an AWESOME party - don't miss out!  Make sure you mark your calendar for August 14-15, 2010 to be at the 2nd Annual Allwynn Long Ride for Hospice - let's have a wonderful year!

THE BIRTH OF OUR EVENT

Many of you may have known Allwynn Long, he was a local rider in Prince George and died after a lengthy battle with cancer on October 13, 2008.

A group of us took Allwynn for his last ride on July 26, 2008 and he asked us at that time to please start a Motorcycle event to raise funds for the Prince George Regional Hospice Society - and we as his friends are very honored and proud to have done just that this year.

On Saturday, August 15, 2009 we held the 1st Annual Allwynn Long Ride for Hospice in Prince George.  We had several stumbling blocks to overcome in the weeks before the event but despite all the last minute changes, we were able to host a successful event.  Although turnout was small, we had the Poker Run, Bike Games, BBQ & Dance and we raised a grand total of $500.00 to donate to the PG Hospice Society.
